Four Gates Acupuncture

Moxibustion is the application of a smouldering herb held close to the skin to enable a therapeutic effect. Moxibustion or 'moxa' encourages the free circulation of Qi along the meridians. Moxibustion is also used as a heat treatment, with the herb having warming and nourishing properties.

Gua Sha involves rubbing muscles with the blunt edge of a porcelain Chinese soup spoon or Gua Sha tool with massage oil. This also invigorates the circulation and free flow of Qi, and works well with tightness and stiffness along relevant meridians.

Cupping is the application of glass and/or plastic cups to specific areas of the body. A vacuum is created in these cups which also encourages and promotes the circulation and free flow of Qi.

The first consultation and treatment session will last approximately an hour and a half. Subsequent treatments will last approximately 60 minutes.

Acupuncture Treatment: £35

A treatment session may also include heat therapy, moxibustion, Gua Sha and/or cupping.
